Refunds

How refunds work when Tebex is the seller, and what we can do to help.

Last updated

We would rather you were running the script than chasing a refund. This page explains who handles refunds and what we can do about yours.

Who issues refunds

Tebex Limited sells the licence and takes the payment. Legacy Scripts licenses its resources to Tebex; Tebex sells them on to you as the merchant of record. We never handle your money.

So a refund is issued by Tebex, under Tebex's refund policy, and any statutory consumer rights from your purchase are rights against Tebex as the seller. Their policy is what governs the outcome, not this page.

What follows is our own position — when we will back a refund request, and how to get one moving.

When we will support a refund request

Tell us within 7 days of purchase and we will support your request to Tebex if:

  • The resource does not work as described on its product page, and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time.
  • The resource is materially broken by a FiveM or framework update, and we do not ship a fix within a reasonable time.
  • You were charged twice, or charged for something you did not buy.
  • You bought the wrong build — Open instead of Escrow, or the reverse — and tell us before deploying it. We would usually rather swap it, and a swap has no time limit.

A fault reported after 7 days is still a fault. We will fix it under normal support; it just stops being something we will back a refund over.

When we will not

  • You changed your mind, or bought something you turned out not to need.
  • The resource works, but does not do something it was never advertised as doing.
  • The problem comes from your own modifications, another resource conflicting with ours, or your server setup. We will still help you fix it.
  • You have breached the Licence Terms, for example by redistributing the resource.

This is our position on whether we will back the request. Tebex may reach a different conclusion under their own policy, in either direction.

How to ask

  1. Message us in Discord or email contact.kevkazz@gmail.com, within 7 days of purchase.
  2. Give us your Tebex transaction ID — it is on your receipt — and tell us what went wrong.
  3. Give us a chance to fix it. Most refund requests turn out to be a config problem we can solve in a few minutes.
  4. If we cannot fix it, we tell Tebex we support the refund, and you raise it with Tebex.

You can also go straight to Tebex. Coming to us first is usually faster, because most problems are fixable and a fix beats a refund.

Refunds go back to the payment method you used. Timing is Tebex's, and normally runs to several business days depending on your bank.

Chargebacks

If you raise a chargeback without contacting anyone first, we will treat it as a breach of the Licence Terms. Your licence ends and we may decline to license to you again. Please just talk to us — we would rather solve the problem.
